Kya Kyan (Kya Gyan) by APK

Here is a document I found on SCRIBD . It is called Kya Kyan (Kya Gyan) , a collection of series of weekly cartoons by Aw Pi Kyae (APK). APK is a famous cartoonist who usually portrays the rediculous aspect of human nature in a humerous way. His cartoons are famous among Myanmar readers as they delicately portray the current social situation in Myanmar. The one here is a good example. It is written in Burmese so you won't understand the meaning of these cartoons. Even if you read the English translation, it is difficult for you to understand the hidden meaning as you need to have a thorough knowledge of the current social situation in Myanmar. Anyway, enjoy. Reached 100,000 pageviews!

I started blogging 4 years ago. At first, there were only a few visitors each day, less than 10. Now, there are around 300 page views a day with around 200 visitors a day, and growing. Today, my blog has reached 100,000 page views and more than 60,000 visitors! I take it as a mile stone, although it takes 4 years to reach this visitor number.

Myanmar Traditional Medicine

Here is an e-book on Myanmar traditional medicine. The book describes in detail the traditional medicine diagnosis and treatments. Although it is intended for the ordinary people with no background in traditional medicine, it is a valuable book for the learners of Myanmar traditional medicine. Unfortunately, the whole book is written entirely in Burmese, so those without the knowledge of Burmese language cannot read its contents. Documents of Myanmar Socio-Economic History

Image
Here is a website that will be of great value to those studying Myanmar History. A Japanese foundation had obtained some photographs of old Myanmar ancient parabaiks (documents) from a number of collectors and made them available on the internet free of charge. These consist of a number of parabaiks with a wide range of topics from astrology and traditional medicine to court proceedings, contracts, loan contracts and many other documents that reflect the socio-economic situation of ancient Myanmar. You can find these parabaiks at http://taweb.aichi-u.ac.jp/DMSEH/index.html .
