ကေလး - တမူး ကားေတြ ကေလး ၿမိဳ႕တြင္း ကားေလးဝင္း ကေန ေန႔စဥ္ ထြက္ပါတယ္။ Van (Town Ace) နဲ႔ မွန္လံု ကားေတြ ေျပးဆြဲပါတယ္။ ကားႀကီးေတြလဲ ေျပးဆြဲေပမယ့္ ကုန္အဓိက တင္တဲ့ အတြက္ လူစီးလို႔ အဆင္ မေျပပါဘူး။ Van ကား ၂၅၀၀ က်ပ္၊ မွန္လံု ၂၀၀၀ က်ပ္ ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ ကေလးက ေန႔စဥ္ နံနက္ ၇ နာရီ နဲ႔ ေန႔လယ္ ၂ နာရီ ထြက္ၿပီး၊ တမူးကေန နံနက္ ၉ နာရီနဲ႔ ေန႔လယ္ ၂ နာရီ ထြက္ပါတယ္။

ကေလးက ကားမထြက္မီ မွတ္ပံုတင္ ေတြကို ကားေမာင္းသူထံ အပ္နွံ ရပါတယ္။ ကေလး အထြက္ စစ္ေဆးျခင္း မရွိပါ။ ကားလမ္းမွာ အထူးပင္ ေကာင္းမြန္ပါတယ္။ အိႏၵိယ အကူအညီနဲ႔ ေဖါက္လုပ္ ထားတာလို႔ သိရပါတယ္။ အခ်ိဳ႕ ေနရာေတြမွာ က်င္း၊ ခ်ိဳင္႔ အနည္းငယ္ ရွိသည္မွ အပ ေတာ္ေတာ္ ေကာင္းပါတယ္။
နွစ္လမ္းေမာင္း ျဖစ္ၿပီး လမ္းညႊန္ ဆိုင္ဘုတ္မ်ား ျပည့္စံုစြာ ရွိပါတယ္။

ကေလးက မိုင္ (၆၀) ခန္႔မွာ ခန္းပတ္ ၿမီဳ႕နယ္ခြဲကို ေရာက္ရွိပါတယ္။ ခန္းပတ္မွာ ကားေတြ ခဏ ရပ္နားၿပီး convoy ဖြဲ႕၍ ရဲ၊ တပ္ အေစာင့္ အေရွာက္နဲ႔ သြားရပါတယ္။ ခန္ပတ္မွ တမူး အထိ မိုင္ (၃၀) ခန္႔မွာ အိႏၵိယ နယ္စပ္မ်ဥ္း တေလွ်ာက္ ေဖာက္လုပ္ ထားတာ ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ တဖက္နိုင္ငံမွာ မဏိပူရ ခြဲထြက္ေရး သူပုန္ေတြ လႈပ္ရွား ေနတဲ့ အတြက္ အေစာင့္ လိုက္ရတာပါ။ ျမန္မာနို္င္ငံ ဖက္ျခမ္းမွာေတာ့ ေအးခ်မ္းပါတယ္။

ကေလး - တမူး လမ္းေပၚက ရြာေတြ ႀကီးမားၿပီး အိမ္ႀကီး၊ အိမ္ေကာင္း ေတြလဲ ေပါပါတယ္။ စီးပြားေရး ေကာင္းဟန္ ရွိပါတယ္။ ခ်င္းအမ်ိဳးသားေတြ အမ်ားအျပား ေနထိုင္ၾကၿပီး ခရစ္ယာန္ ဘုရားေက်ာင္းေတြ ရြာတိုင္းလိုလို ရွိပါတယ္။ လယ္ယာ ေျမေကာင္းေတြ ေပါမ်ားပါတယ္။

တမူးၿမိဳ႕ အဝင္မွာ ကားဝင္း ရွိပါတယ္။ လမ္းမႀကီး ေဘးမွာပါ။ ခရီးသည္တင္ ကားနဲ႔ ကုန္ကားေတြ ကိုပဲ စစ္ေဆးၿပီး ဆိုင္ကယ္၊ စက္ဘီးေတြ ကေတာ့ လြတ္လပ္စြာ သြားလာေန ၾကပါတယ္။ ကားဝင္းက မထြက္မီ ခရီးသည္ ေတြရဲ့ ခရီးေဆာင္ အိတ္ေတြကို စစ္ေဆးပါတယ္။ ၿပီးေတာ့ မွတ္ပံုတင္ ေတြကို လဝက ကျပန္ေပးပါတယ္။

ကားဝင္း အျပင္ဖက္မွာ ဆိုက္ကားငွားၿပီး တမူး ၿမိဳ႕တြင္းကို သြားနိုင္ပါတယ္။ လူေန အိမ္ေျခ ေတြက ကားဝင္းကို ေက်ာ္ၿပီး ရွိေနပါတယ္။ ကေလး - တမူး လမ္းဟာ အဆင္ေျပေျပ၊ သက္ေတာင့္ သက္သာ သြားနိုင္တဲ့ ခရီးပါ။

Kalay Tamu Highway

Buses to Tamu leave every day from the bus terminal in Kalay. Buses leave at 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM everyday. The vans (Town Ace) cost 2,500 kyats a person while the minibuses cost 2,000 kyats. There are big buses too but they mainly carry goods and not very convenient for people to travel. Buses from Tamu leave at 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM everyday.

Passengers have to hand over their ID cards to the driver before start of the trip. There is no search on leaving Kalay. The road is very nice except for a few bumps and holes. The road is two lanes, complete with traffic signs. Indian government built the road for the Myanmar government.

About 60 miles away from Kalay, we reach Khan Pat, a sub township in Tamu District. The cars were stopped, and at 9:00 AM all the cars are allowed to go in convoy with the police and army security. There are insurgents on Indian side, and the road is just a few kilometers away from the body. However, there is nothing to worry on Myanmar side. There is no search in Khan Pat.

Villages and houses on the way to Tamu are quite large, clean and well developed. There are many churches in almost every village. Many of the inhabitants are Chin people.

The Highway Bus Terminal in Tamu is just on the side of the main road. Luggages were seharched and the ID cards were given back to the passengers. There was no restriction to those who were walking and riding motorcycles. The town has already overgrown the bus terminal now.

You can take a trishaw outside the station to go to downtown.

Internet Cafe in Kalay Myo

You can also use internet in Kalay. There are now two internet cafes opened in Kalay. Moon Star Internet Cafe near Highway Bus Terminal is quite convenient and friendly to use. The connection speed is quite slow though, and it cost 1,500 kyat per hour, very expensive compared to Yangon and Mandalay. But still, there are many users there. Another one is in downtown Kalay but I haven't been there.

ကေလးၿမိဳ႕မွာ Internet အသံုးျပဳနိုင္ပါတယ္။ လက္ရွိ Internet Cafe နွစ္ခုရွိပါတယ္။ ကေလး ကားႀကီးဝင္း အနီးက Moon Star Internet Cafe မွာ ကြန္ျပဴတာ ၁၀ လံုးေလာက္ ရွိၿပီး အသံုးျပဳရတာလဲ အဆင္ေျပပါတယ္။ ေစ်းကေတာ့ တစ္နာရီ ၁၅၀၀ က်ပ္ဆိုေတာ့ အေတာ္ ႀကီးပါတယ္။ မီးမလာေတာ့ မီးစက္နဲ႔ သံုးရလို႔ပါ။ G-mail သံုးနိုင္ပါတယ္။ G-talk အတြက္ေတာ့ တစ္နာရီ ၂၀၀၀ က်ပ္ က်ပါတယ္။ Connection Speed ကေတာ့ ေတာ္ေတာ္ ေနွးပါတယ္။ ဒါေပမယ့္ သံုးတဲ့ သူေတြေတာ့ အေတာ္မ်ားပါတယ္။ ေနာက္တစ္ခုက ကေလး ၿမိဳ႕လယ္မွာပါ။ မသံုးဖူးပါဘူး။ ေစ်းက အတူတူ ပါပဲ။

Kalay Myo

Kalay Myo which is situated in Sagaing Division, on the west bank of Chindwin River, is quite a large city. Being on the way to Tamu, which is the major border trading town on the Indian border, and also the port of entry to northern Chin State towns, including Hakha, Htangtalan, Tiddim, Tunzan and Falam, Kalay has established itself as a major commercial center on the west bank of Chindwin River.

Kalay has four wards, the most famous being Tarhan ward. About half the population are Chin people, mostly coming from northern Chin region. Many are from Tiddim, a large town in Northern Chin Hills. Almost all Chin people in Kalay are Christians. The living standard in Kalay is also high.

You can reach Kalay through Mandalay by bus or from Yangon or Mandalay by air. Air Bagan currently operates two flights a week. The ticket currently cost 68,000 kyats.

Regular bus services run from Kalay to Hakha, Falam, Tiddim and Tunzan everyday (except Sunday). These buses leave Kalay from bus station in Tarhan, whild small buses to Tamu leaves everyday from the bus station in downtown Kalay.

Taungzalat Hotel is situated in front of the Airport. Chin Taung Tan Guest House near Tarhan Bus station is cheap but quite clean and convenient for those who have to take bus to Falam and Hakha early in the morning. The price is 1500 kyats a person only.

ခ်င္းတြင္းျမစ္ရဲ့ အေနာက္ျခမ္းမွာ ရွိတဲ့ စစ္ကိုင္းတိုင္း ကေလးျမိဳ႕ဟာ အေတာ္ႀကီးတဲ့ ၿမိဳ႕ႀကီးတစ္ၿမီဳ႕ပါ။ အိႏၵိယ နယ္စပ္ တမူး ကုန္သြယ္ေရး လမ္းေပၚက အခ်က္အခ်ာ က်တဲ့ ၿမိဳ႕ႀကီးတစ္ၿမိဳ႕ ျဖစ္သလို ခ်င္းျပည္နယ္
ေျမာက္ပိုင္း ၿမိဳ႕ေတြျဖစ္တဲ့ ဟားခါး၊ ဖလမ္း၊ ထန္တလန္၊ တီးတိန္၊ တြန္းဇံ ၿမိဳ႕ေတြရဲ့ ဝင္ေပါက္လဲ ျဖစ္တဲ့အတြက္ အလြန္ပဲ စည္ကားလွပါတယ္။

ကေလးၿမိဳ႕ဟာ ႀကီးမားက်ယ္ျပန္႔ၿပီး လူဦးေရလဲ မ်ားျပားပါတယ္။ ရပ္ကြက္ႀကီး (၄) ခုရွိၿပီး တာဟန္း ရပ္ကြက္ကေတာ့ နာမည္ေက်ာ္ပါတယ္။ ခ်င္းလူမ်ိဳး အမ်ားအျပား ေနထိုင္ၾကၿပီး ၿမိဳ႕ လူဦးေရရဲ့ ထက္ဝက္ခန္႔ ရွိပါတယ္။ ကေလးက ခ်င္းအမ်ားစုဟာ ခ်င္းျပည္နယ္ ေျမာက္ပိုင္းက ျဖစ္ၿပီး တီးတိန္က အမ်ားဆံုးပါ။
အားလံုးလိုလို ခရစ္ယာန္ ဘာသာဝင္ေတြ ျဖစ္ၾကပါတယ္။ လူေနမႈ အဆင့္ျမင့္မားၿပီး ဝတ္စား
ဆင္ယင္မႈလဲ ေခတ္မွီ ၾကပါတယ္။

ကေလးကို မႏၱေလး ကတဆင့္ ကားနဲ႔ သြားနိုင္သလို ေလယာဥ္နဲ႔လဲ သြားနိုင္ပါတယ္။ Air Bagan က တစ္ပါတ္ (၂) ႀကိမ္ ပ်ံသန္းပါတယ္။ လက္မွတ္ခက ၆၈၀၀၀ က်ပ္ ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။

ေလယာဥ္ကြင္းေရွ႕မွာ ေတာင္ဇလပ္ဟိုတယ္ ရွိပါတယ္။ ကားႀကီးဝင္း အနားက ခ်င္းေတာင္တန္း တည္းခိုခန္း ကေတာ့ သန္႔ရွင္းသပ္ရပ္ၿပီး ေစ်းႏႈန္း ခ်ိဳသာပါတယ္။ တစ္ဦးကို (၁၅၀၀) က်ပ္ပါ။ မနက္ေစာေစာ ဖလမ္း၊ ဟားခါးကား စီးမယ့္ လူေတြအတြက္ တည္းခိုဖို႔ အဆင္ေျပပါတယ္။

From Kalay Myo

Hi all, I am now visiting Kalay. I found out that there are two internet cafes in Kalay. However, they are very expensive, 1500 kyats an hour! And the connection is very slow. Anyway, something is better than nothing, and I feel like I am now in a modern world again. Because the fees is very expensive, I cannot post a long post here. I will write a longer and more detail one when I get back to Yangon. For now, this in all.
